Sky McNeil and Paula (her mom)
This mom and daughter team work together to serve you better.

Sky holds a national certification in education and has previously taught elementary school, prior to having her own children.  She has home-educated her 2 children from inception, along with her 20 others that she teaches in coop.  Among many other things, Sky tutors, teaches lap booking and school year planning workshops, and administers portfolio evaluations, as well as, basic skills testing.  She is an inspiration and will motivate anyone who watches her for more than ten seconds.  She is an awesome teacher and friend.  She understands children and their individual needs.  Paula (Sky’s mom) is a retired (don’t let the term fool you) public school teacher who has decided to paddle her canoe over to the homeschooling river (and we are so glad she did).  She brings with her a lifetime of educational experience and a love of teaching children.  She understands and values the opportunities that home-education offers and loves watching her grandchildren grow and learn.  Wonder where Sky gets it! Linda Hottel, Lighthouse Point, Florida

I met Linda several years ago, just after she moved to South Florida.  She was and still continues to be a very trusted and valued personal mentor and friend, with a dedicated heart for serving and edifying others.

Linda began homeschooling in Ohio 12 years ago when her adopted daughter failed Kindergarten.  She met her Mentor Moms during a Bible Study and knew God was calling her to homeschool.  Having experienced the  importance of Mentor Moms, she has been mentoring since moving to Florida  9 years ago.

Linda homeschools her three children:  Beth, attending university for nursing,  Stefan who is in highschool, and Savannah, in junior high.  During her homeschool years she has experienced the challenges of several learning disabilities including dyslexia.  She is a Wilson Certified Reading Tutor and has 15 years experience teaching in Ohio.  She has used various Unit Studies and curriculum including Sonlight, Saxon Math, Alpha Omega, Apologia, and Teaching Textbooks.

Linda welcomes all phone calls for mentoring, encouragement, advisement and prayer any day after 1:00 pm, (954-781-1144).
