Testing for the 2007-08 school year is complete.
Thank you for your participation and assistance in making this run smoothly.

We will announce the 2008-09 testing schedule as soon as we finalize the details.

The IOWA Standardized Test and the personal evaluation both meet your year end home school law requirements.
Confidential and fully computerized results will be mailed to you about 4-5 weeks after testing is completed.
A letter of evaluation will also be mailed to you.  The letter is what you mail to the school board.
Do not send your scores.
New for 2008

If you have tested or evaluated with us in the past, you will automatically receive announcements and updates.

Florida law requires that the parent or guardian of a home-educated child file an annual evaluation with the district school superintendent's office.  The annual evaluation is due one year after submission of your letter of intent.  It is recommended that you send it certified mail, return-receipt requested.

As the parent/guardian you have options in the child's method of evaluation.

We offer two of those options and a Florida State Certified Teacher administers and/or evaluates each.

1. Individual or Personal Evaluation or

2.  Nationally Normed Student Achievement Tests

As with any standardized testing instrument, the scores provide "a snapshot" of each child's achievements.  They are to be considered in conjunction with teacher observations, portfolio reviews and daily interactions, in order to gain a complete understanding of the child's academic growth and areas needing remediation.  Always keep test scores in their proper perspective.  They are a valuable piece of the puzzle, but not the complete picture.
